Customised nuts
From various domestic and foreign customers, Provecta has in recent months been awarded orders for fully customised nuts to be machined with the most diverse threads. Apart from the most common metric threads, some exotic threads such as Metric Fine Thread, NPT, UNF , Gas Thread and Trapezoidal Thread passed through.
A standard is a long way off
A nut has 1 or more threads, either internal thread, external thread or a combination of the two is possible. The hexagon itself is also variable, depending on the application it is internal or external and the pitch size also varies.
Our preferred material is still stainless steel such as SS316L or SS304, but various duplexes and some steels are also regularly used.
Sealing groove integrated in the design
Regularly, the design also integrates one or more sealing surfaces where the roughness (Ra, Rz,…) is always highly important. Think of:
- Standard O-rings
- Kammprofile Gasket
- Metal C-rings
- Spring-supported C-rings
